AI Future Gen Pvt Ltd ("we", "our", or "us") operates the GovtJobsIndia – BookShare mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our App.
The App is a peer-to-peer book exchange platform for students preparing for government examinations in India. Users may list their competition books, coaching material, and college textbooks for free or paid exchange. We do not act as an intermediary or profit from book transactions.

Introduction
GovtJobsIndia – BookShare is built for students across India who want to exchange books — competition guides, coaching material, and college textbooks — with others in their vicinity. The platform is completely free to use, and we earn revenue solely through Amazon affiliate advertisements displayed within the App.
We have designed this App with your privacy as a priority. We collect only what is necessary, anonymise your identity by default, and never sell your data to anyone.
Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Name — used only to generate an anonymised display name (see Section 5)
- Email address — for account registration and support
- Mobile number — for account verification via OTP
- Book listings: title, subject, condition, price (free or paid), and photographs
- Messages exchanged through our in-app messaging channel

- Device location (GPS latitude/longitude) — only while the App is in use, to show books within 50 km of you
- Android Advertising ID — used solely for Amazon affiliate ad serving
- App usage data (crash logs, session data) — to improve stability

Location Data
Location access is a core function of this App. We use your device's GPS to determine your current position and display book listings within a 50 km radius. This ensures hyper-local relevance and reduces the need for shipping.
- Location is accessed only while the App is open and in use — never in the background
- Your exact coordinates are never shown to other users — only approximate distance is displayed
- Location data is not sold, rented, or shared with any third party
- You may deny location permission, but core features will not be available without it
Anonymity and User Privacy
5.1 Anonymised Display Names
Your full name is never displayed publicly. You appear to other users as "User-[Initials]", where the initials are derived from your registered name. For example, a user named "Amit Gupta" appears as "User-AG". This protects your identity while keeping a human-readable label.

Our messaging system is designed with a privacy-first two-step activation:
- Only a buyer may send the first message to a seller
- A messaging channel opens only after the seller replies to that first message
- This prevents unsolicited contact and harassment from either side
- Messages are stored securely for delivery and content moderation only
Sharing of Information
6.1 Amazon Affiliate Advertising
The App shows ads via Amazon's affiliate programme. Amazon may collect your Android Advertising ID and ad interaction data to serve relevant ads. Amazon's practices are governed by Amazon's own Privacy Policy. We do not pass your name, location, or contact details to Amazon.
6.2 Service Providers
We may share data with trusted providers who help us operate the App (cloud hosting, push notifications, crash analytics). They are contractually bound to handle data securely and only as we instruct.
6.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights or safety of our users or the public.
6.4 Business Transfer
In the event of a merger or acquisition, user data may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to the same privacy commitments.
Content Moderation
All book listings are subject to moderation by our team before being published. We review listings to ensure they comply with our community guidelines, are appropriate for students, and do not contain prohibited content.
Moderation involves reviewing listing photographs and text descriptions. We do not use automated decision-making as the sole basis for any rejection — our team reviews all flagged content.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Account data — retained while your account is active and for up to 90 days after deletion
- Book listings — deleted upon your request or when marked as exchanged
- Messages — retained for 12 months from the last message, then deleted
- Location data — not persistently stored; used only in real-time
- Crash and usage logs — retained for 30 days for debugging purposes

Children's Privacy
The App is intended for students preparing for government examinations, who are generally 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at contact@aifuturegen.in and we will promptly delete such information.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information:
- Encrypted data transmission using HTTPS/TLS
- Secure password storage using industry-standard hashing
- Strict access controls — employees access data only on a need-to-know basis
